Connecting to Country

Walbanga Elder Aunty Violet Parsons and local Aboriginal community member Roderick Slockee showed the teachers of Batemans Bay Public School significant sites in Walbanga Country.

The sites were Observation Head, where the Tollgate Islands, Snapper Island and the Three Brothers can be seen, and Hanging Rock, a significant area where Aboriginal people have gathered for millennia. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed afternoon tea together.
